| In 1999 Local 466 in conjunction with State Farm Insurance Group
constructed a countywide fire safety campaign in the Mercer County School System. During
Fire Prevention Week in October we placed a program developed by the IAFF, State Farm
Ins., and the National Association of Elementary School Principles in every elementary
school in Mercer County. This program promoted fire safety as a whole; by placing the
program in the school system we were able to send the message of fire safety to thousands
